2nd Annual Holiday Market

We are gearing up for our 2nd Annual Holiday Charity Market. We would love for you to stop in SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10th from 11:00-4:00. We will have 19 local small businesses, food trucks and so much more! Bring your friends and family (even your dogs, we will have something for them too!) and come out and support Brooke Corley and her sweet family. We will have a raffle table where tickets will be $5 and all proceeds go to The Corley family. It’s going to be a great time and a good start to the Holiday Season.

Holiday Market

Tis the season to support small. Come on by to eat, drink and shop local. We will have raffle tickets to buy for all of our prizes as well as for the beer from Angry Fish Brewery. All proceeds go to Arthur Hutchinson,McCall Wright & the Caring Heart Foundation.

Arthur Hutchinson is a 21 month old little boy who has Krabbe Disease which is one of 52 types of leukodystrophy. There is currently no cure for this disease. In 2019, Governor McMaster signed Dylan’s law into effect after a sweet boy Dylan Emery passed away at 11 months old from Krabbe disease. This law stated that Krabbe and 2 other rare diseases would be added to the newborn screening. As of April 28, 2023 this still has not been implemented into SC’s newborn screening. If you would like more information about Arthur or want to follow his journey, go to https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100091846375049 PRAYERS FOR ARTHUR, HOPE FOR A CURE.

McCall Wright is a 5 year old little girl who has Dravet Syndrome, a lifelong genetic epilepsy characterized by seizures and a deterioration in development. Her family is holding out hope that a genetic cure is coming soon for McCall. When she was diagnosed, Dravet syndrome was a lifelong sentence but rapid innovations show that advanced treatments are on the horizon. If you would like more information or want to follow her journey, go to https://secure.qgiv.com/for/milesformccall/ MILES FOR MCCALL.

Caring Heart Foundation is through Lexington School District 1, where they receive donations to give to social workers that can provide needs for local families in our community. From a child needing glasses, school supplies or even money for transportation to get to school, this foundation lends a hand. It is a great foundation to help with needs of children within our community.

If you would like to donate to Arthur, McCall or the Caring Heart Foundation and can’t attend the event, please contact Kari Fulmer at 803-394-5696 or at reflectionssalonsc@gmail.com. Let’s come together and bless these families this year.

Reflections Salon & Spa is REOPENING

Hello Reflections Family! I’m BACK!! Reflections Salon and Spa will OFFICIALLY be REOPENING May 1st!

Twisted Shears has decided to relocate to Main Street in Lexington upon their lease coming up for renewal. While I would have loved to go with them, moving for the 4th time in less than 2 years and being further from my kids was not in the cards for me at this time. So with lots of hard work and prayers, I am staying put at 1812 Augusta Highway, Suite I-2, Lexington, SC 29072. The ONLY difference for you, is to come to the WHITE door instead of the turquoise door in the corner that you are used to using.

I am so excited for this new journey and I can’t wait for you guys to see the new digs. I appreciate each and every one of you for sticking with me on this crazy journey. See you in the NEW “old” spot!

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at 803-394-5696. I will no longer be able to be reached at Twisted Shears number.

Returning From Maternity & Future Appointments

Hello Reflections family! I wanted to let you know that I will be returning to work on October 18, 2021. I will still be working Monday-Friday and my hours might vary once I return, but for now they will remain the same. I will do my best to keep you informed of my schedule if anything were to change as I adjust to being back and taking care of both boys while Edward is still in NC.

With that being said, I am MOVING! I know, I know but I promise this is the last move. I was approached with an amazing opportunity before my unexpected maternity leave started to join TWISTED SHEARS. They have made room for me in the suite next to them so I can have a private space to do my clients as well as provide privacy for my nail clients. I just couldn’t pass it up to work with a great group of ladies as well as still providing you all with the best services as well as privacy you are used to.

I have attached a link for you guys to fill out to set up your next appointment when I return as well as to go ahead and book holiday as well as standing appointments for this year and next. Just complete the form and I will handle it from there for you. If I have any questions or if I can’t fulfill your requested time or date, I will be in touch with you. Please bare with me as this will take me some time. Just click the link below:

I also just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for the support and prayers. I know this maternity leave came on pretty quick and several of you were not able to get in before I went into labor. Apparently my kids don’t like to finish “baking,” but Weston is doing really well and we are so blessed to have him here safe and home with us.

I can’t wait to see each and every one of you! I have missed you so and I look forward to catching up. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email or text.

Update

Hello Reflections family! Just wanted to give an update. Kari started going into labor Thursday August 19th and was admitted over night to try and stop her labor. Well Weston wasn’t having it so they decided to go ahead and perform a c-section. Weston was born 8-20-21 at 7 lbs 10 ounces and he is 20 inches long.
Upon his arrival his blood sugar was really low so he was taken back to the nursery, just like his brother. Kari is doing well since her surgery but Weston is still in the nursery. Please continue to pray for him so he can come off IVs and actually be fed instead of just IVs.
Kari’s maternity leave start and stop date is up in the air for now due to him coming 4 weeks early and with his blood sugar so low. Please be patient with her as she will reach out once settled and back home.
If you need an appointment, you can contact
Brittany 803-238-7779 (Sola)
Bonnie 803-414-3971 (Sola)
Maddie 803-520-0753
Karlie 803-520-0753
Maddie and Karlie just moved salons this week. It’s called Twisted Shears. The address is 1812 Augusta Highway Suite I Lexington SC 29072. (look for teal door in the Hope Plaza shopping center).
We will keep everyone updated.

Maternity Leave & Schedule Updates

SCHEDULE UPDATES:

  • I wil no longer be doing pedicure appointments as of July 1st. I would highly recommend going ahead and contacting Jeanne Ricard (contact information below) to get on her books for your next appointment.
  • I will be cutting back in the next couple of weeks so I don’t overexert myself. I want to be able to keep working through the 2nd week of August and then play that by ear as to when my last day will be. I will keep everyone updated as I go to my doctor’s appointments.
  • Any standing appointments scheduled after August will be written down but removed from my book. When I know when I will be returning from maternity leave, I will make sure everyone has their standing appointment back on my books. Just in case our appointments get thrown off during this transition, it will be easier to start fresh.
  • I will be turning OFF the online booking. If you need an appointment please send me a text and I will get you scheduled.

Happy New Year

As we close out 2020, Reflections Salon & Spa will be making some changes as of January 1st, 2021. We are going to be updating our policies as well as our service menu and prices. To make things easier we will be simplifying our menu selections to make online booking easier as well as adding some new nail services that will be available by the end of January 2021.

Policy updates listed below:

  1. We will REQUIRE a card to be on file from here on out to hold your appointment spot.
  2. We will NOT be accepting American Express cards as of January 1st, 2021.
  3. No Show policy will be enforced and you will be charged for the full service if you are a no show appointment. No exceptions.
  4. Appointment reminders go out 3 days before your appointment as well as 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel your appointment after the 24 hour window you will be charged 1/2 of your service.

I look forward to see what 2021 has in store for us all. Cheers to 2021, the BEST year yet!

Salon CLOSED

Thank you so much for supporting Reflections Salon and Spa. I unfortunately am still under the states mandated closing of non essential businesses through April 27! I still have no dates on when I will be able to open the salon. With that being said, I do not believe the salon will be open until at least May.

I can not do hair or nails “from home” or at your home. They are cracking down on this stay at home order. If caught inside the salon it’s a $2500 fine and if caught working from home or at someone’s home I will lose my license for 2 years. So many have been caught already. I love you guys, I truly do but it is not worth the risk and loosing everything.

Please be patient, we will get through this. If you do decide to do at home hair color, please save what you use or take a picture so that I can protect the integrity of your hair when using my professional color. Professional color and box color don’t mix well. Also remember color correction starts at $100 an hour. We will get through this.

I will be contacting those clients who have had appointments the past few weeks as soon as those dates are made public as to when I can reopen. Thank you everyone for your support. Be safe and stay healthy!

Love,
Kari Fulmer

Stay Inside, Shop From Home

Hello!

I just wanted to touch base and let you know how appreciative I am for all the love and support shown during this pandemic. Since we still have to be apart and I can’t do hair and nails for awhile, I figured I would repay the kindness shown to me during this time of uncertainty. Since we literally can’t leave our homes, why not shop from home?

I will be offering discounts on all products, including jewelry, during our time apart.

  • 10% OFF $25 use code COVID10
  • 15% OFF $50 use code COVID15
  • 20% OFF $75 use code COVID20
  • 30% OFF $100 use code COVID30
Simply log onto my website http://www.reflectionssalonsc.com and click ONLINE STORE. Add items to cart and enter 1 of the 4 discount codes above. If there is a product that you do not see online, let me know and I can order it for you and have it shipped to your house. All products purchased will be a pick up only and I will have designated times for these pickups.

Thank you again to each and every one of you that has reached out, purchased a gift certificate and have rescheduled your appointments. I know this time is scary and we will get through this stronger than ever. I just PLEASE beg you to not try and cut and color your hair during this time. Please reach out and step away from the scissors and box color. I love you all and I can’t wait to catch up soon! Stay safe and stay healthy.

Love,
Kari Fulmer

Salon CLOSED Until April 16th

Hello Reflections Family!

As many of you know, the Governor has mandated non-essential businesses to close effective tomorrow, April 1st, at 5 pm. All appointments are still on for tomorrow. If your appointment is in the next 15 days, I will be contacting you about rescheduling.

On a more personal note, this is a very scary time for our industry with all the uncertainty. If you would like to purchase a gift certificate to use towards a future appointment, it would be greatly appreciated. Being self-employed, I unfortunately don’t have any income if my chair is empty so anything will help. That being said, I will REOPEN on April 16th once this mess settles down.

  • Purchase a $100 gift certificate and receive $30 toward a product purchase.
  • Purchase a $150 gift certificate and receive an additional $25
  • Purchase a $200 gift certificate and receive an additional $50

If you would like to redeem any of the following gift certificate offerings, please feel free to email, call, text or DM on social media. Follow me on Instagram @reflectionssalon_sc , Facebook @reflectionssalonsc OR our website www.reflectionssalonsc.com to follow salon updates during this time.
I appreciate your business and it is my utmost pleasure to serve all of you. We are all in this TOGETHER and right now that means APART. I hope you all stay safe and healthy.

Love,
Kari Fulmer
